Richard is one of the UK's leading procurement practitioners and is at the forefront of buyer/seller relationships, purchasing strategies, negotiation tactics and procurement process thinking. Richard has worked extensively with a wide range of companies, across industry sectors and geographies from the UK and Ireland to the US and Asia. For the last five years, Richard has been a leading coach and mentor to sales and procurement teams.

Richard has spent nearly twenty years in significant procurement roles within blue chip organisations - for four years he was Head of Procurement at Experian Ltd, the financial information solutions business, where he set up the purchasing function and led regional and global negotiations as well as being responsible for strategic decision and policy making.

Richard started his career as a buyer with Whitworths, the food ingredients company and then went on to be Purchasing Manager at Kodak, developing the purchasing of packaging and becoming a Six Sigma practitioner, and then, before joining Experian, worked for Thorntons, the chocolate manufacturer and retailer as Purchasing Manager.

Richard is an excellent speaker and facilitator on sales / procurement relationship matters and provides extremely valuable 'insider knowledge' that would otherwise not be available to sales professionals.
